Attention Rock and Roll fans! August is here and it is time for another jam packed show in the Go to Hale Film Series: 2! This month, music enthusiasts can gather round for Hale Milgrim’s concert film series, Neil Finn and Friends Seven Worlds Collide/The Sun Came Out. This is the second part of a three part series featuring rare concert footage and a behind-the-scenes look at amazing performances and backstage adventures.

Seven Worlds Collide/The Sun Came Out features Crowded House frontman, Neil Finn, and other talented musicians in five different performances at the St. James Theatre in New Zealand. Finn recorded many successful solo albums, as well as assembled this amazing cast of musicians, for the 7 Worlds Collide project, which includes a live recording and concert film. In addition to prime footage of Finn, audience members get to watch Radiohead‘s Ed O’Brien and Phil Selway, Wilco‘s Jeff Tweedy, Glenn Kotche, John Stirratt and Pat Sansone, The Smiths‘ Johnny Marr and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.

Hale Milgrim enjoys a long and distinguished career in the music industry, starting with a counter job at Isla Vista Discount Records and eventually ending up as the CEO of Capitol Records. After his return to Santa Barbara, Milgrim continued to devote his time to music by hosting the Sunday radio show “Go to Hale,” which aired for six years on KTYD. He constantly gives his support to local music ventures, including Sings Like Hell, a critically-acclaimed concert series celebrating pop, rock, bluegrass and more. Proceeds from the Go to Hale Film Series will benefit more live music at the Lobero Theatre.
