A glass of wine paired with a fresh baked treat—is that not the cherry on the cake? Bob’s WELL BREAD Bakery, the iconic bakery and restaurant that holds court at the entry of Los Alamos and adjacent to the Santa Ynez Valley, continues their popular monthly Meet the Winemaker tasting series. You are invited to meet Winemaker Denise Shurtleff of Cambria Estate Vineyard & Winery and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting paired with the best treats from Bob’s Well Bread Bakery foods.

Where the foothills rise up from the valley floor on the Santa Maria Bench sits Cambria Estate Winery. For 30 years, the Jackson family has sustainably farmed and passionately tended the Santa Maria estate. Barbara Banke and Jess Jackson’s daughters, Katie Jackson and Julia Jackson, grew up among these vines. Drawn to the grit and beauty of winemaking, Katie and Julia continue the family business. Diversity is essential to the complexity of Cambria wines. The grapes grown here are bursting with vibrant acidity and ripe fruit flavors. For three decades, Cambria winemaker Denise Shurtleff has been honing her ability as a vine whisperer, creating Santa Maria Valley wines that showcase the nuance of the region.

Come and enjoy some wine and fresh baked goodies on Saturday August 5 from 1-3 p.m. Bob’s WELL BREAD Bakery is located at 550 Bell St., Los Alamos. Wine not?
