Meet the Women on the Front Lines: Mujeres y Climate Justice

On Tuesday, May 16 from 6 p.m. — 9 p.m. at Casa de la Raza (601 E. Montecito St.) an inspirational panel discussion, Mujeres y Climate Justice, will take place with three internationally renowned female leaders. Mujeres y Climate Justice is a part of The Better World Series.

The panelists include Leila Salazar-Lopez of Amazon Watch, Maricela Morales of CAUSE and Osprey Orielle Lake of WECAN (Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network). These three outstanding women will discuss tactics to combat climate change and ways to protect indigenous and native communities from multi-national corporations. The discussion will be moderated by Celia Alario, a communications strategist, facilitator and educator. There will be Spanish interpretation for attendees who require it.
