Join La Presidente Rhonda Ledson Henderson and the Old Spanish Days Board for An Evening in Spain at La Primavera to celebrate the upcoming 93rd Annual Old Spanish Days Fiesta. The festival takes place Saturday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Carriage and Western Art Museum of Santa Barbara (129 Castillo St.).
The elegant evening includes dining, dancing, delicious Andalusian cuisine, Spanish wines, signature cocktails, beer and entertainment. To honor the 2017 Fiesta theme, “Unity through Community,” there will be exciting live Flamenco show, Tablao de la Primavera. This showcase will highlight the spectacular talents of the local Flamenco dance community. The Spirit of Fiesta Norma Escárcega and the Junior Spirit of Fiesta Eve Flores will entertain guests with their first performance of the season.
The Spirit and Junior Spirit are selected to dance in the festival from one of the many local dance schools that teach traditional dances of Mexico, Spain and early California. The evening also includes the unveiling of 2017’s Fiesta pin and poster. The riveting night will end with spirited dancing under the stars to music by DJ Bobby B.
