Santo Mezcal is the newest creation from the founders of the Santa Barbara favorite, Los Agaves Restaurant, Santo Mezcal (119 State St.), next to Hotel Indigo, will feature delectable Mexican cuisine and a bar showcasing a mezcal and tequila collection.

Santo Mezcal is set to open in mid-April in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Carlos Luna and his team have put lots of time and effort into cultivating this restaurant. Luna was inspired to bring an elevated Mexican dining concept to Santa Barbara by his love for the cuisine. Alongside the mouth-watering menu is a diverse bar which showcases delicious mezcals and tequilas.

The culinary aspect of the new restaurant is run by Executive Chef Ricardo Garcia. Garcia has created a modern menu which simultaneously holds traditional Mexican flavors and traditions in high regard. His cuisine focuses on seafood and also celebrates local and seasonal ingredients hailing from the Santa Barbara region. The bar is manned by a locally renowned mixologist Sean Sepulveda.

Santo Mezcal is a stylish addition to the Funk Zone art district. This culinary addition will bring an infusion of exciting flavors and spirits from all across Mexico to the denizens of Santa Barbara.
