Posted on Apr 17 by SEASONS Magazine

Everybody Dance Now!’s Third Annual Day of Movement takes place on Saturday, Aprill 22 from noon to 5 p.m. at Isla Vista Elementary School (6875 El Colegio Rd).

The event features well known dancers and hip hop dance innovators to educate, inspire and transform Goleta’s youth through dance. The Day of Movement features many different dance events. From noon. to 2 p.m., two on two all styles dance battles will take place with guest judges Cebo Terry Carr, Katalyst and Tinelle Matlock determining the winner of the $400 grand prize. DJ Sparx from 103.3 the Vibe will provide music. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., a hip hop dance masterclass for families will be led by Cebo Terry Carr. Finally, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Everybody Dance Now! presents a Spring Recital featuring EDN dance class members and guest artists.

This annual event makes a very lasting impact in the greater Santa Barbara community. Everybody Dance Now! hosts dancers from local studios, after school programs, juvenile hall programs, local college dance groups, cultural centers, transition homes and other local nonprofits and organizations. The event is donation based. EDN will allocate the funds earned from this event to continue offering free or low-cost dance classes to hundreds of dancers each week.
