The AIA Santa Barbara Design Awards Gala was hosted at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel, and Jurors pulled amongst 60 entries for this year’s event. The annual event, which showcases architectural talent, creativity and innovation, had no shortage of gorgeous entries for the year of 2016.

Proceeding into the new year, the Design Awards Gala showcases two exhibitions. Featuring all entries, Channing Peake Gallery will host the first showing from May 4, 2017 through June 23, 2017. The Batteravia Gallery Santa Maria will host the second showing from July 24, through September 8. The galleries showcase the wide arrange of concepts pertaining to architecture and design within the Santa Barbara area. Entries give insight into the architectural inspiration, examples of problem solving, environmental sensitivity and ability to transform the surrounding community.
