Acclaimed S.Y. Kitchen mixologist Alberto Battaglini, hosts a cocktail class on Tuesday, April 21, featuring four seasonal specialties inspired by the warming temperatures, local market produce and botanicals. The lesson includes a welcome cocktail, recipes, detail methods and tasty appetizers.

Battaglini, a native of Verona and student of S.Y. Kitchen’s Chef Luca Crestanelli, learned the fundamentals of cooking and food service at Scuola Alberghiera in Italy. His passion for spirits took him to London, Spain and Mexico and eventually to the Santa Ynez Valley to lead the bar program at S.Y. Kitchen. Battaglini’s hand-crafted drinks are a stunning complement to the cuisine of Chef Crestanelli.

In addition to the restaurant’s list of specialty drinks, Battaglini now offers four new spring cocktails both on the menu and in the class: Sorriso di Venizia, Rosso di Sera, Verdana and Meraviglio.

S.Y. Kitchen is located at 1110 Faraday St. in Santa Ynez. Call the restaurant at 805/691-9794 for more information and reservations or email events@sykitchen.com
