We just had the pleasure of seeing the world premiere of Lutah, director Kum-Kum Bhavnani’s fabulous documentary about the life of the late Lutah Maria Riggs.

The film–which explores the life of the architect who revolutionized Santa Barbara’s architecture through her work on buildings such as the Lobero Theatre and the Vendanta Temple—is a pleasure to view on its own, but even more special in the newly renovated Lobero Theatre, which Lutah was such a vital part of creating.

The film screens again on Wednesday, February 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E. Canon Perdido St.

SEASONS contributor Claudia Lapin is featured in the film. Click here to read her story about Lutah Maria Riggs from the fall 2012 issue of Santa Barbara SEASONS Magazine.
