The Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) is something that we’re all too familiar with these days, what with festivals, wine-makers dinners, tastings and other events always coinciding or passing us by before we knew they were even here. Thankfully, the folks at The Bourbon Room, Alcazar, milk & honey and Cutler’s Artisan Spirits would hate to see us sad over missing their “3-Course Course” in whiskey—so they’re throwing another one on Monday, October 28.
This incredibly popular event, which first occurred early this month for epicure.sb, involves a whiskey education from local distiller Ian Cutler of Cutler’s Artisan Spirits. In the three courses with Cutler, you’ll discover the dynamics and chemistry behind whiskey (including the distillation process, different types of whiskey and that age-old question of whether there’s an “e” in “whiskey”), what’s in a whiskey (flavor profiles, how to taste spirits, etc.) and how to incorporate whiskey into cocktails (use of bitters and proper assembly also discussed).
Award-winning bar-keep Alvaro Rojas of The Bourbon Room, Alcazar and milk & honey will also be on hand to share his expertise, with a special en-course entitled “Something Special” sparking excitement as well.
