Car-free transportation is expanding in Ventura! Ventura recently made plans to provide a free public trolley that runs between Ventura’s Downtown and Harbor Village, which will hopefully make getting to the beach this summer a little easier for visitors and locals alike.

Referred to as the “Downtown-Harbor Trolley,” this new system of public transportation runs from historic Downtown to the Ventura Harbor Village, making various stops along the way. These stops include restaurants, the Amtrak station and other partner locations, along with any flag stops that passengers may need along the way.

The trolley, which was created by the Downtown Ventura Partners (DVP), began service on July 3. It runs five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. during the summer season, and has the ability to adjust hours of operation and location stops. On weeks that include major holidays, the trolley will adjust its schedule accordingly by moving Wednesday’s service to Monday.

For more information about the trolley, call 805/641-1090. For more information about accommodations and attractions in Ventura, call 800/483-6215 or click here.
