You don’t have to run, swim or bike to be involved in the 2013 Santa Barbara Triathlon. Volunteers are needed at East Beach Friday–Sunday, August 23–25, to help this event go smoothly.

Some of the exciting volunteer positions available include registration, timing, water stations, body marking, food service and more!

In return for your service, you will be given an event T-shirt and be entered to win a trip for two on a Channel Islands kayaking tour. Also, you can take pride knowing the funds raised by the triathlon directly support local nonprofits; this year’s recipient of charity is Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, which helps support deserving local students pursue higher education. All the while, you will get to watch one of the best triathlons in the world.

Whether you are able to volunteer one day or all three, you are wanted! If you are a student, you can even earn community service hours. Register online or call 805/682-1634 x 11.
