The summer tour is a commemoration of the band’s 10th Anniversary of Give Up! and is their first headlining tour in ten years. It has already sold out over a dozen theatres and arenas around the world, including the Greek Theatre in Berkeley and New York’s Barclays Center, where second dates have recently been added due to popular demand. The 10th anniversary reunion will reunite Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello with Jenny Lewis, who appeared on the original 2003 album and tour. Also appearing with the band is Laura Burhenn from The Mynabirds and Bright Eyes.

Following Nirvana‘s Bleach, Give Up! is the second-biggest selling album in 25 years. The single “Such Great Heights” helped it to achieve certified platinum status last year, almost 10 years after its original February 9, 2003 release.

The concert will open with special guest Big Freedia, an American musician who is known for her work within the New Orleans genre of bounce music. Tickets for the event went on sale Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. Make sure to buy them before they sell out!
