In addition to unlimited wine tastings, guests will help decide which competing restaurants make the best red chili, chili verde and salsa (don’t forget your Tums!)
Not only is the chili heating up, but also the competition. With more and more restaurants registering each day, the competition is “going to be intense” says Dan Baumann, general manager of Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground. Current competing restaurants include Avant Tapas & Wines, Flying Flags Café, Hitching Post Restaurant, Standing Sun Winery and Willows Steaks & Seafood. Competing wineries include Ampelos, Falcone Family Vineyards, Hitching Post Wines, Jalama Wines, Kessler Haak, Lucas & Lewellan, Terravant Wine Co. and Zotovich Cellars.
Tickets to the event will also include an oak barbecue lunch, a souvenir wine glass, live entertainment and a chance to speak with the chefs. Flying Flags also hosts Friday night Tri-Tip barbecues, Saturday night ice cream socials, drive-in movies and Sunday breakfast in bed delivery service.
