Opera Santa Barbara is offering the final dress rehearsal of their production of Puccini’s, La Bohème for free to local students of all ages. The final rehearsal will take place at 7 p.m. on November 9 at the Granada Theater. The rehearsal will be a full-stage production with professional opera singers, a full orchestra, sets and costumes. New York Times calls this play, “the world’s most popular opera,” it’s the story is a tale of ill-fated love set against the carefree and reckless lifestyle of 19th Century bohemian Paris. Puccini’s music incorporates romance, drama and tragedy. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and students are required to being a valid student ID to gain admission. Groups of children 12 or younger are allowed one adult chaperone for every 10 children. Groups of 25 or more are encouraged to pre-reserve seats by calling Opera Santa Barbara at 805/898-3890.
